19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces

A revitalized Medvedev won his first trophy for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.

The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a setback at the American major.

His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.

Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.

This marks Medvedev's initial trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after March of that year.

Victory also means he has won 21 victories at twenty-one different events.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.

"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in Halle in the past months.

Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused some to question if his capacity to perform at the highest level was over.

However the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an better serve.

The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.

The competitors swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.

Moutet saved 4 early chances in a competitive deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.

Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
